Starting All Over Again

Ok, so what kind of fool spends a few hours on Christmas Eve deleting his old Blog and installing a brand new Blog in its place? Perhaps the same fool who spends a few hours on Christmas Day tweaking the workings and wondering what to write for the first post?

Yeah, I reckon that would be me – a Blog Fool; the kind of stubborn fool who refuses to give up on the attempt to make his mark on the World Wide Web.

Have you seen that TV commercial (for some giant corporate entity) that says, “the important question is how”?

What utter nonsense! What they are trying to do with their long-running PR campaign is to get folk to overlook the most important question – WHY.

It can be revealing to think and write about yourself in the 3rd person. When you think of yourself in the 3rd person, it’s almost like stepping outside of your body and mind, and observing your life and circumstances from a different point of view.

Why did the WillDuWeb Guy delete* so many hours of Blogging Hard At Work? (*He actually backed up many of the posts for possible future use.)

It may have been to absolve himself of trying so hard to sell Recipe eBooks. Perhaps he decided to just let the sales happen (or not) by being LESS intense about the whole “sales pitch thing”.

But there was more to it than that. What about the hurt feelings of perceived rejection – working so hard to create something that obviously no one really cared about? Could it be that a clean slate gave him the opportunity to be closer to his real “shive-a-git” attitude toward selling.

Yeah, I think that might be it.

Whooosh-whooopee (the sound of me re-entering myself – going from 3rd to 1st person). Hey, I’m back. I’ve introspected myself. I gotten the skid marks out of my innerwear. I’m reinvigorated and ready to go for another year.

So, buy some of my stuff – or NOT. It’s not really that important. BUT, everybody’s got to eat, and it never hurts to have a few recipes for guidance.

Meanwhile, I think I’ll use this blog for quite a few different things. I’ll try not to shock your delicate sensibilities (although I can’t say the same for my evil twin, Blind Melon Ugly Dude).
